Grants are sums of money given to help further the goals of small businesses or individuals. They can be awarded by government entities or private businesses. Unlike a loan, grants do not need to be repaid.
The Awesome Foundation is a global community committed to promoting "awesome" by providing $1,000 micro-grants, funded by local chapter trustees, to support diverse and inspiring projects. Each chapter independently defines "awesome," resulting in a wide variety of initiatives in arts, technology, community development, and more. These projects often evoke surprise and delight, sometimes challenge norms, and frequently inspire.
Each month, our judges review all the applications — then select 10 finalists. One of those finalists will be the monthly $10,000 Amber Grant grant winner. All business categories, including non-profits, are eligible for the Amber Grant each month. The $10,000 Amber Grant winner each month qualifies for the year-end grant of $25,000.
Since 2016, we’ve amplified the individuals, businesses & orgs who are boots on the ground everyday trying to make the world a better place.
